Mixa (Michelle Gialanze)
Deconstructing Beauty — After Georges Bataille explores the fragile boundary between beauty and its opposite, questioning conventional ideals of perfection, harmony and aesthetic appeal.

Inspired by the philosophical ideas of Georges Bataille, the exhibition considers how beauty can emerge through decay, imperfection, vulnerability and transformation. It invites viewers to look beyond the polished surface and confront the unsettling, visceral and sometimes uncomfortable aspects of existence.
Through painting, natural materials, botanical elements and immersive installations, Mixa explores the relationship between the human body, nature, fragility and the passage of time. Organic forms and material textures become a means of examining the tension between attraction and repulsion, growth and deterioration, life and death.
Rather than offering a fixed definition of beauty, the exhibition invites visitors to reconsider their own perceptions and question the cultural and personal expectations through which beauty is understood.
Deconstructing Beauty is an invitation to experience beauty not as an ideal of perfection, but as something complex, transient and deeply connected to the realities of existence.
