Simona Ruscheva
Through my works I have found a way to reconnect with my source, that being my Bulgarian heritage where I endeavour to explore Bulgarian culture; inviting the viewer to submerge into the limitless sea of mysteries, rituals and realities existing beyond the being everyday life.
Simona Ruschevagraduated Fine Art Painting in Veliko Tarnovo, Bulgaria. Currently living and working in London, UK
Simona had her firstUK solo show “Transitions” in London in 2022 and first international solo show“The source” at Keep Contemporary Gallery in Santa Fe, USA in 2021.
Having also participatedin various international group shows and across London, including RoyalInstitute of British Artists Annual exhibition, her work was Highly Commendedby the De Laszlo Foundation, and Society of Women Artists Annual Exhibition.
Simona’s work waslonglisted in Holly Bush Emerging Woman Painter Prize 2022 in the Portraiturecategory, as well as shortlisted for Kate Bryan art prize in July 2021 and forArtrooms Awards in 2019.
She is also a memberof Contemporary British Portrait Painters, and her works are also part of theglobal art collection of Standard Chartered Bank.
